Gain Your Confidence Back With the Help from the Mommy Makeover Specialist
The joy of becoming a mother cannot be compared to the strain pregnancy can put on your body. Your extra pounds just won’t budge no matter what diet and exercise plans you follow, and your puffy stomach won’t disappear.
In order to regain your pre-pregnancy appearance and regain your self-confidence, consider a mommy makeover. A leading cosmetic surgery clinic in VarCounty County, Dr. CS Kim Plastic Surgery helps thousands of women improve their bodies after pregnancy.
By far, Dr. CS Kim Plastic Surgery’s most frequently requested procedure is a mommy makeover. We offer mommy package plastic surgery consisting of reshaping your breasts, erasing stretch marks, and flattening and toning your abdomen. You don’t have to accept your post-pregnancy body just because you got pregnant, right? You can look as good, if not better, before you had children with a mommy tuck and breast augmentation!
A "Mommy Tuck" is what it sounds like.
We offer two types of tummy tucks as part of our mommy package plastic surgery: full tummy tucks and mini tummy tucks. There are two types of mommy tuck surgeries, both aimed at improving your abdominal region’s appearance.
- The full tummy tuck.In a full tummy tuck, also known as a complete abdominoplasty, the upper and lower abdomen are corrected. A doctor will remove stubborn fat deposits and excess skin above and below the belly button during the procedure. In addition, he strengthens the abdominal muscles, which are often weak during pregnancy. We recommend a full tummy or “mommy tuck” if your pants roll up when you bend over when you stand up.
The mini-tummy tuck. Mini tummy tucks, medically known as partial abdominoplasty, focus on the lower part of the stomach. A mini “mommy tuck” is performed similarly to a full tummy tuck but only in the lower abdominal region, beneath the belly button. In contrast to a full tuck, a mini tuck is less invasive and takes less time to complete. A mini “mommy tuck” would be perfect if you have what moms affectionately call a “mom pooch.”
What “Mommy Tuck” Surgery Has to Offer
Our mommy package plastic surgery includes full and mini tummy tucks because of their various benefits, particularly for moms. In the long run, the procedure has the biggest benefit in terms of improved appearance.
It is common for women to develop stretch marks during pregnancy due to the stretching and elasticity loss of their belly skin, fatty tissue deposits around the abdomen, and abdominal muscles become weakened and stretched during pregnancy.
In addition to removing belly fat, excess skin, repairing damaged abdominal muscles, and even eradicating unsightly stretch marks, Dr. Kim uses the most innovative surgical techniques. After a “mommy tuck,” a woman’s waistline will appear flatter, trimmer, and more toned. With this procedure, you can show off your post-baby body with pride and regain a sense of self-confidence.
However, “mommy tuck” surgery can be beneficial medically as well as cosmetically. When you develop stress urinary incontinence during pregnancy (a common condition among pregnant women), a tummy tuck may help to alleviate embarrassing symptoms associated with this condition. During pregnancy, women often develop abdominal hernias, which can also be repaired with a tummy tuck. Additionally, a tummy tuck may be able to correct your posture if you are suffering from weakened abdominal muscles, excess fat, and skin.
The "Mommy Tuck" Surgery: What to Expect
In our post-op recovery room, our medical staff will keep you comfortable and assess your condition immediately after your surgery. To determine when you are ready to return home, Dr. Kim will examine your incision and your general health. All post-surgical self-care will be reviewed thoroughly before you leave our facility. Arrangements should be made for someone to bring you home since you will not be able to drive. For the first 24 to 48 hours following the procedure, it is recommended that someone you trust stays with you.
As soon as you return home, we recommend that you sit upright while sleeping and sleeping in an upright position rather than lying down. Ice packs can help relieve pain and swelling, so be sure to keep them on hand. Any discomfort you may experience will be controlled by medications prescribed by Dr. Kim.
Watch your incision site closely during your recovery period. Contact our office as soon as anything appears abnormal, and we will provide you with advice.
It is recommended that you refrain from participating in strenuous activities and lifting heavy objects until you have recovered fully. There is no standard recovery time for “mommy tuck” surgery, but most patients take about three weeks to heal fully.
In the End
Your abdominal region will look dramatically different once you are fully recovered. A “mommy lift” usually leaves a woman with a more aesthetically pleasing tummy than she had before pregnancy. In addition to having a trimmer waistline and a more defined abdomen, you will feel more confident about yourself.

“Sailing ships in the olden days pulled up to docks along the inner harbor and waited their turn to fill up their water casks from the “Old Well”. In a 1738 deed Washington Street is referred to as “the highway that leads to ye landing place called Ye Old Well. The actual well is shown on the Beers Atlas map of 1867 to be East of Water Street about 75 feet South of Washington Street. The exact location has been lost but is believed to have been very near to Donovan’s Tavern, which seems likely since sailors are said to have enjoyed the spirits. Old Well was involved in coastal trade, manufacturing, and shipbuilding as well as having many farms with diversified crops.”
“Old Well was scarcely a village in those days, but rather a group of farms, and the well which gave the place its name was on Water street, near the corner of Haviland street, on the property of Eliakim Raymond, a patriarch of several Norwalk lines. His house stood at the corner of Washington and Water streets before the Revolution and was burned with rest of the town.”
“Norwalk was made a borough in 1836, and the village of Old Well, named from an ancient well where vessels were supplied with water, was incorporated into a city in 1868, and named South Norwalk two years afterward.” “South Norwalk, formerly called “Old Well” was organized a city August 18, 1870, under a charter granted by the Legislature of Connecticut, July 5 of the same year. This charter was revised by the Legislature April 19, 1882, and the city continued its existence under this revised charter until May 27, 1897, when the Legislature approved a revised and amended charter, under which the city has since continued and worked.”Learn more about South Norwalk.
