An explanation of tummy tucks
Would you like to get rid of your muffin top? Feeling self-conscious about your midsection? Do you suffer from loose skin and excess fat in your abdomen? It is likely that you are considering a tummy tuck or a mini tummy tuck near me in Germantown, CT if you answered ‘yes’ to any of the following questions.
Abdominoplasty, or stomach plastic surgery, is the formal name for a tummy tuck. Excess fat and skin are removed from the abdomen during this surgery. Also, stretch marks can be removed underneath the belly button after this procedure tightens loose abdominal muscles (fascia). As large amounts of fat cannot be removed during a tummy tuck, the procedure cannot replace a weight loss plan.
Excess fat, a lack of elasticity in the skin, and weakened fascia are often caused by the following causes:
- The pregnancy
- A significant loss of weight
- Getting older
- Surgery of the abdomen
Some people may simply be genetically predisposed to bulging, sagging abdominal skin.
A tummy tuck might be the answer for you if you feel uncomfortable and self-conscious about your midsection.
Here are some tips on how to choose the best Tummy Tuck Surgeon in Fairfield County: Things to consider
In order to achieve the best results with a tummy tuck, you must choose a highly qualified doctor who will be able to meet your needs. You can determine which physician should perform your tummy tuck surgery by consulting with a few county-wide tummy tuck doctors.
Fairfield County has multiple tummy tuck surgeons. How can you tell which one is the best? You can point yourself in the right direction by considering these factors.
A plastic surgeon should be Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. A physician who wishes to obtain this certification must have extensive surgical training and successfully pass rigorous exams. It is also important to make sure that the procedure will be performed in a facility that is accredited. It is important to find a facility that is Joint Commission Accredited, as these facilities must maintain the highest patient safety protocols, meet the highest level of sanitation requirements, and utilize the most advanced tools and technologies. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Medical Association are two professional societies you may want to check out.
Verify these credentials with proof. Many shady doctors out there claim to have the training and experience to perform abdominoplasties; however, in reality, they lack training and have no knowledge of this procedure. Having a surgical procedure performed by an unqualified doctor is the last thing you want.
Techniques for Inquiry
For a surgeon to perform a successful tummy tuck, he or she needs extensive surgical training and experience, as well as artistic talent. A surgeon should also take into account your specific goals and the condition of your tummy when devising a treatment plan for you, since each patient is unique. In order to develop your treatment plan, ask the surgeon what techniques he or she will use and what factors will be considered.
Having a good bedside manner
A tummy tuck surgeon should make you feel completely comfortable. When you consult with your doctor, pay attention to how he or she responds to your questions. Everything should be explained in a way you can understand, and you should be provided with all of the information you need. Do not feel rushed, pay attention to details, or use a lot of complicated medical jargon if the doctor seems bothered by your questions. Your experience and the success of your procedure are directly impacted by your doctor’s bedside manner.

Danbury was settled by colonists in 1685, when eight families moved from what are now Norwalk and Stamford, Connecticut. The Danbury area was then called Pahquioque by its namesake, the Algonquian-speaking Pahquioque Native Americans (they are believed to have been a band of the Paugusset people), who occupied lands along the Still River. Bands were often identified by such geographic designation but they were associated with the larger nation by culture and language).
One of the original settlers in Danbury was Samuel Benedict, who bought land from the Paquioque in 1685, along with his brother James Benedict, James Beebe, and Judah Gregory. This area was also called Paquiack (“open plain” or “cleared land”) by the Paquioque. In recognition of the wetlands, the settlers chose the name Swampfield for their town. In October 1687, the general court decreed the name Danbury. The general court appointed a committee to lay out the new town’s boundaries. A survey was made in 1693, and a formal town patent was granted in 1702.
During the Revolutionary War, Danbury was an important military supply depot for the Continental Army. Sybil Ludington, 16-year-old daughter of American Colonel Henry Ludington, made a 40-mile ride in the early hours of the night on April 26, 1777, to warn the people of Danbury and her father’s forces in Putnam County, New York, of the approach of British regulars, helping them muster in defense.Learn more about Germantown.
